Introducing “The Wave”: A New Draping Style at 128 South
We’re excited to introduce a new draping style to our collection: The Wave.
We recently had the opportunity to bring this look to life at 128 South, and we couldn’t be more excited about how it transformed the space.
A Fresh Take on Event Draping
Traditional draping can create a beautiful, classic backdrop, but The Wave adds movement and dimension. Instead of hanging fabric in straight, uniform lines, the fabric is gathered and arranged in soft, flowing curves that create a wave-like effect across the ceiling.
The result is romantic, architectural, and eye-catching without overwhelming the space.
Designed to Transform the Room
At 128 South, The Wave creates a completely different feeling overhead, drawing the eye upward and adding softness to the venue’s structure. The flowing fabric helps define the space while still allowing the existing architecture to shine.
It’s a beautiful option for couples and event designers who want something a little different from traditional ceiling draping.
Perfect for Weddings & Events
The Wave can work beautifully for:
Weddings and receptions
Rehearsal dinners
Corporate events
Galas and celebrations
Holiday parties
Cocktail receptions
It can also be paired with lighting, chandeliers, florals, or other décor elements to create a completely customized look.
Our New Favorite Way to Drape
We love that The Wave feels both elegant and unexpected. It takes a familiar event element draping and gives it a fresh, modern perspective.
We’re excited to offer this style for upcoming events and can’t wait to see how our clients make it their own.
